This summer, UNC Chapel Hill will be buzzing with activity as a film production sets up around McCorkle Place from July 5 through July 12. The production, believed to be the third season of Amazon Prime's popular series "The Summer I Turned Pretty," is seeking local extras. Filming is scheduled from July 8-10.
Cherrix Casting is looking for adult men and women of all diversities to be paid extras. Participants will earn $134 for 10 hours, with overtime for longer hours. Interested individuals can apply by emailing cherrixcastingwilmington@gmail.com with a recent photo, personal details, and clothing sizes, specifying their availability in the subject line.
Expect temporary road closures and parking lot restrictions around McCorkle Place. Specific lots will be closed from July 5 through July 12 to support the production. Traffic will be detoured, and drivers needing access to closed routes should present their One Cards.
