Carrboro, NC, is about to welcome a delicious new addition to its vibrant food scene. Wedgewood Cheese Bar, the brainchild of Michelle and Stevie Webb, is set to open its doors in early May 2025 at 100B Brewer Lane, inside the historic Carolina Car Wash building.
The Webbs began their cheese journey in 2022 with The Cheese Shop, a pop-up venture that quickly gained a loyal following. Their curated selection of local and international cheeses, combined with a passion for customer service, set them apart. Now, with Wedgewood Cheese Bar, they're expanding their vision into a full-fledged cheese-centric experience.
What to Expect at Wedgewood
Wedgewood Cheese Bar aims to be more than just a place to buy cheese. The 2,000-square-foot space will feature.
An 18-foot cheese case offering 75–100 varieties of cheese from around the world.
A U-shaped bar with 15 seats, serving small plates, charcuterie, and a curated selection of wines by sommelier Paula de Pano of Rocks + Acid Wine Shop.
A mezzanine level designed for classes, private dinners, and tastings, fostering a community around cheese appreciation.
The interior design, featuring a cerulean-blue bar and vintage food prints, evokes a whimsical, Wes Anderson-esque atmosphere, making it a cozy spot for both cheese aficionados and newcomers alike.

To celebrate the opening, Wedgewood Cheese Bar is hosting a series of events:
